Apr. 4, 2008 by Lisa Currie
The Campus Climate Log Committee presents the film, Key of G.
The film follows Gannet, a charismatic 22-year-old with physical and developmental disabilities, as he leaves his mother’s home to share an apartment with a close-knit group of artists and musicians who support him, not only as paid caregivers, but also as friends. Resources including articles and websites are posted on the difficult dialogues blog at difficultdialogues.blogs.wesleyan.edu. All are welcome to share their comments, thoughts, and questions, as well as post additional resources.
Key of G will be screened on Monday, April 7 from 7-9 pm in the Center for Film Studies, Rm 190.
Discussion to Follow, Facilitated by Cecil Apostol ’08, an officer in the Best Buddies program at Wesleyan (Best Buddies ® is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment.)
