Film Screenings on mental health issues

The Psychology Department shared information on these upcoming film screenings that address mental health issues:
On Tuesday, March 25, 7:00 pm will be a screening of A SUMMER IN THE CAGE, a feature-length documentary by Ben Selkow ‘96 in which the filmmaker chronicles his friend’s battle with bipolar disorder. It will be held in The Center for Film Studies, The Goldsmith Family Cinema.
On Thursday, March 27, 2008, at 7:30 pm will be the screening of CANVAS, a fictional depiction of a young boy coping with his mother’s schizophrenia, starring Joe Pantoliano and Marcia Gay Harden.
The screening of CANVAS will be followed by a panel discussion and reception. Moderated by Professor Jacob Bricca (Adjunct Assistant Professor, Film Studies Department), the panel will include Matthew Kurtz (Assistant Professor, Psychology Department), Joe Pantoliano (Actor in Canvas) and Ben Selkow (Filmmaker of A SUMMER IN THE CAGE). It will be held in The Center for Film Studies, Room 190.
